The text “Jamie’s 30 Minuets Meals” was broadcasted on the 19th of May 2017 on the Australian television network Channel 10. In a time that people are working long days and don’t have enough time to prepare healthy and nutritious meals for themselves and their families so they then resort to purchasing fast and easy meals such as fast food. This then contributes to the increasing level of obesity all around the world. The show is structured focusing and introducing one part of the recipe at a time. Then Jamie Oliver individually prepares each element of each dish whilst explaining to the audience the procedure of how to create the meal. It is set out in an organised way so that the audience can concentrate on each part of the dish. The episode lasts just over 23 minutes and throughout the episode Jamie times himself on how long it takes him to prepare and cook the meal he does this by keeping a running clock counting up to 30 minutes, hence the title of the show “Jamie’s 30 Minute Meals”. Jamie Oliver achieves this by timing himself whilst preparing and cooking the meal using a running clock and continually showing the clock on screen, counting up, every time he completes one element of the dish. This is done to prove to the audience that healthy meals can be made within a limited amount of time. Jamie Oliver informs and influences the audience very well by setting out the show in a particular order so everything is thoroughly explained so that the audience can make sense of what to do if they are preparing the same meals and follow along.

The targeted audience of “Jamies’s 30 Minute meals” are people who have busy and stressed lives who may not have time to cook for them self or people who feel that cooking is a long complex task but Jamie Oliver’s show try’s to show good and nutritious food can be made in 30 Minutes and under.
Though out the episode Jamie Oliver uses culinary technical language such as scoring, simmering, slicing and dicing to explain the process of preparing and cooking his meals.
