Did you know you were able to brutally attack other players in soccer? If you want to know more about that, keep reading. Soccer is the most popular sport in the world, however, we know so little about its history. For instance many people enjoy watching this sport every year but they don't know how the game was created. There are so many unique things about the history of soccer so this caused me to want to find out more about it. I also found out I had already found most of the useful information. Even though I had found out so much this did not cause me to change or narrow my topic further. What most people want to understand about sports is why and how the sport was created. If you are one of those people who are interested in this, keep reading. The sport of soccer can be dated back to 3,000 years ago. There is no specific reason the sport was created but people loved the game. In modern day sports we have rules to keep the players safe and to keep the game fair. I would have thought that before you start playing a new sport they would have a set of rules in place, but this is not the case for soccer. Records of soccer in England show that there were little to no rules on how you were allowed to play the game. This ended up causing problems because often people kicked, carried the ball and went through the streets of the villages. This sport became increasingly popular in schools, this caused the school to worry for the student and they decided to try and make rules for this sport. Because of the growing love for this new sport, many people played the game often. When British exports came to America they also brought immigrants and they brought the game to the U.S. You may be wondering if soccer is so popular why don't Americans watch the sport. The reason behind this is mostly because of the TV rights. This is the tv companies choice what to display, because of the lack of displacement of soccer this causes soccer to be less popular in the U.S. The significant purpose of this research project was to find evidence on the amazing history of soccer. Another important thing was to try and educate the reader. During this whole process I found things I never knew about my topic such as, that soccer helped the making of rugby and how the game became popular in the whole world. The finding that meant the most to me was that they had no designated playing field or rules. What I have learned will affect me because I now know so much about the history and I will be able to see the difference in today's normal game of soccer compared to 100s of years ago. After writing this paper I want to continue learning about the unique changes throughout the years. I now also want to learn more about if the players had protection such as shin guards to protect them from the cruel
