Recommended: Summary of Frank Rifkin case
The Worst Crime: Matt’s or Richard’s “Killings”, written by Andre Dubus, illustrates how the death of a loved one may lead to dire consequences for all the parties included. Matt Fowler’s son, Frank, was murdered in cold blood by a jealous soon-to-be ex-husband, Richard Strout. When the death of Frank sunk into the lives of the Fowler’s, Matt believed he had to retaliate in some sort of fashion. The sort of fashion he chose was to seek revenge and kill Richard for his wrongdoings, which he did. Some people believe that the murder committed by Richard Strout can be considered more serious because of his act of passion and his lackadaisical style of living without worrying about his future.

On an autumn night in the beautiful and vibrant college town of Perugia, Italy, a young American student by the name of Amanda Knox is at her roommate’s throat- literally. Knox, angry and resentful of the young woman she shares an apartment with, Meredith Kercher, torments and threatens the British student by wielding a 6 ½ inch kitchen knife while two men hold her down. In a sick and twisted game of sex and revenge, Knox’s boyfriend of just over a week, Rafaelle Sollecito, and a drifter who is local to the area, Rudy Guede, are positioned on either side of the roommate’s mostly naked body, each holding one of her arms, after assaulting Kercher at the will of the woman whose affection they so desperately desire. Finally, Knox drives the blade
Imagine that you are taking a brief walk at night with your dog or by yourself and suddenly feel suffocated. The next thing you know, you have become the next victim of a gruesome sexual attack. However, you could never tell your tale because, at the lowest point of this heinous ordeal, you realize that your rapist will now turn into your murderer. This is the case of the Hillside Strangler, a story of two cousins, Angelo Buono and Kenneth Bianchi, and the brutal crimes they were charged with.
There were four people in the house were murdered and Krenwinkel stabbed Abigail Folger countless of times. The next night Krenwinkel stabbed Rosemary LaBianca to death with a carving fork and stuck it in her husband's body. She then wrote “DEATH TO PIGS” on the walls with the victim's blood. Then two months later Krenwinkel was arrested in Alabama. Her role in the murder was to round up everyone in the house, including the eight-months pregnant Sharon
I disagree with both Fraustino’s murder mystery theory, and Hughes’s argument that it was all a psychotic breakdown. I believe instead that the most convincing evidence can be found in favor of a supernatural explanation for the story. Fraustino spends the beginning of his article examining Hughes’s psychosis interpretation. According to Fraustino, Hughes bases most of his interpretation on the assumptions that Mrs. Drover suffered a severe mental breakdown after the loss
Along with her failure to keep a steady job and support her children Diane started having an steady affair with Robert Knickerbocker. After Diane became so consumed with Robert that she wanted him to end his marriage to be with her, Robert ended the relationship stating that he didn’t want to be a stepfather to her children. A well minded single mother wouldn’t have thought twice to leave a man like Robert Knickerbocker, but Diane was so romantically consumed by Robert that on May 19, 1983 she decided to drive her three children down a dark country road and shoot them while also shooting herself to make it look like a gunned robbery. Diane’s middle child Cheryl Lynn Down died while going to the hospital. When the police questioned Diane she gave a full detail of what happened the night of the incident.
An urban legend, as defined by the Merriam –Webster dictionary, is an often a lurid story that is based on hearsay and widely circulated as true. According to Nicholas DiFonzo, a renowned author and psychology professor, urban legends are “narratives about strange, funny, or horrible events that could have happened, the details of which change to fit particular locales and time periods, and which frequently contain a moral lesson.” The stories are entertaining, include cultural references, and convey people’s anxieties about certain topics. While some consider urban legends as myths with a possibility of truth in it, these tales evolve to suit the common themes of the time.
The demonstration of the narrator's imagination unconsciously leads his own thoughts to grow into a chaotic mess that ultimately ends in a death. By murdering, it’s his own way of finding peace. He is portrayed as being a sadist, sick man with an unnatural obsession for
Thus on page 46, there’s no need for Rivka to say, “Who knew they had crematoriums.” On page 15, try to make the scene even more tension when the police come. While Josef Mengele is certainly a horrific antagonist, he’s not a consistent antagonist in the story. Consider creating one.
[He] does not notice the police car… follow him.” This one event, mixed with the stereotype the protagonist has thrown upon him by the cop, seals his fate. All three of these situations foreshadow the ironic and deadly situation that the poor lost man is about to find himself involved. It is these subtle hints to his death that not only add suspense to the plot, but also hold a key importance in conflict development. W.D. Valgardson uses many great elements of fiction to build plot and conflict, as well as teach the lesson of not making snap judgments in his short story Identities.
The climax of the short story was how Gregory had died. The men burst out in outrage, fore they did not understand how Gregory had died. Eleanor calmed everyone down and explained to them how she had pulled off the murder. The amber bottle of poison was Gregory’s medication for his heart. From the accident, she had to give him to keep him alive, she explained to them.
He watched with revulsion as a particular male who was killed, was taken to the killer’s wife, who jumped in glee at the new source of meat. She began removing his skin until it was only meat left. Then she dumped
