When someone works as a sales representative, people assume that the job of a sales representative is primarily communication, but in my case, it was the opposite. I felt like I was "invisible" and there was very little communication. On the first day of my job, my general manager told me to put in a random Alaskan address as Alaska had cheaper taxes compared to Illinois. I was concerned, so I asked the other eight sales representatives if it was ok to do so. They said, "Saira, we have been doing this for quite a long time, so you can do it too." He said that although he had told me to put in a random Alaskan address, doing so was completely my choice. I was shocked to hear this coming from him. That day I realized that one should not let peer pressure get in the way and should always do what one think is right regardless of what people tell
