1. The process I went through as I created my ABC book was I thought a lot about things I liked that started with each letter in the alphabet. I wrote the letters A to Z on a piece of paper and then thought about something that started with each letter that had something to do with my life and who I am. I also made sure that it was all something appropriate for a young child to read so that I can share it with them to help them get to know me better. I illustrated my book by taking pictures of the things I talked about for each letter in my ABC book. I also put pictures of myself on the cover since the book is all about me. This project represents a personal connection to my life because it is all about me and my life. It also has pictures from my life.
2. My project represents transmediation by having pictures that represent every word I used for each letter in the alphabet. Each picture I used represents exactly what I talked about on that page. The pictures in my book are a symbol of what I talked about in my book. This project was at a high level of intellectual reflection because it was at the create level of Bloom’s Taxonomy since we had to create a book. I didn’t just write a regular paper, I made a creative book with pictures about myself. The student project that most appealed to me in this article is the one where Kim made a flag in memory of her Granny. The book that she read was A Flag for Grandma by Sally Grindley (1988). I liked this project because it was at a higher level of intellectual reflection. Kim didn’t just write a paper book report. She created her own flag in a symbolic and creative way. For example, the article states, “The flag is created by various patterns and colors of cloth and each
