How can society call itself compassionate when it kills the weakest beings among it? Abortion is devastating to society. Every life that is aborted is less chances for advances in science, math, and technology. Abortion has directly led to 57 million less children in the world. In addition, women who had an abortion were three times more likely to commit suicide than the rest of society. Just in children, that’s 57 million less chances to end world hunger. There are that many less chances to find a cure to cancer, and to end world wars; abortion is the cause of all of that. Every child should have a chance to live, and accel in life. Life begins at conception, so unborn babies are human even if that baby has yet to be born. Upon fertilization, a human individual is created with a unique genetic identity that remains unchanged throughout his or her life. For example, "To accept the fact that after fertilization has taken place a new human has come into being is no longer a matter of taste or opinion... However, according to the US Government, unborn babies are considered humans, and killing humans is illegal. People say that abortions are justified by the means of population control.
