When you hear the word “Lincoln” what is the first thought to come to your mind? Many would say a symbolization of honesty, integrity, freedom and even humanity. From 1861-1865 America was blessed with one of the greatest presidents we have ever had the 16th president of the United States of America, Abraham Lincoln. At the time of his presidency the country was divided into two regions the north and south regions in which they both had withdrawn from the union. Lincoln led the United States to defeat the confederacy which followed the famous Emancipation Proclamation, which was put in place to abolish slavery.
Thomas Jefferson was America's strongest president. Jefferson has earned this title through his various achievements as an average citizen, and as our president. Jefferson also had a lot of experience in politics before becoming the president, which gave him a large advantage over other presidents on this list. From writing the declaration of independance, to starting Lewis and Clark's expedition, Jefferson was an all around influential, and strong president. Our nation has had many great leaders and presidents. Many people could argue for hours over who was the best president and why. For me, the top three presidents were Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, and Thomas Jefferson. They were each great for many different reasons and without them our nation wouldnt be the way it is today but personally, i think George Washington was the best and most influlential president.
