Who was Abraham Lincoln
Abraham Lincoln was viewed as true American hero sharing his views of freedom and equality using his platform as a president and influential lawyer to shed lights on many of the cultural issues that America was currently facing e.g. the southern slave states. Lincoln represented the dawn of a new era in the 1800s in a human civilization based on freedom, self-government, and equality- this was mainly focused on America, however, his attitudes and morals were inspirational. His methods and views were accepted and taken on by some other world leaders conveying his power as an influential world leader. To this day, Lincoln is still associated with the principles of liberty, democracy, equal rights, and unification.
Qualities that Abraham Lincoln Possesses
One of his qualities that I admire and respect is capacity to listen to different points of view. This quality portrayed him as a democratic leader capable of listening to others making him a more well-rounded person, being able to improve himself and his country through the opinions and ideas of others which is something I hope to build within myself to become a more successful leader and a more approachable person. …show more content…

This quality enabled him to focus on his weaker areas which eventually made him a highly skilled and intelligent person, bettering him in his profession (law) and excelling outside of his own occupation. He would then translate this into America, focusing on the countries weaker areas and trying to improve them. This is a quality that would be highly useful to me especially in education where one must learn from their previous mistakes.
