Absolute monarchies had all the power in Europe. Their kingdoms were powerful and accomplished. Although absolute monarchies empowered and enriched their kingdoms, they were still largely detrimental because of King Louis XIV of France, debt, Frederick the Great’s seizure of Silesia, and the city of St. Petersburg. King Louis XIV of France was an absolute monarch.

I personally believe that rather having a complete monarchy, dividing up the power is the smartest way of running the government.

The American government was founded by democratic principles in order to serve the will of the people. Thus the people and their opinion are the basis of American government. Political scientist V. O. Key Jr. stated that public opinion must not only exist, but it must be heard by policy decisions (Yolaf, 266). Public opinion has the power to justify president’s policies, for interest groups to promote their causes, and for journalists to describe public preferences. One popular way to show public opinion is through voting.
Absolute monarchy is rule by one person, usually a King or Queen, who obtains absolute power of authority with no repercussions for what he or she does. Bishop Bossuet held strongly to the argument of absolute monarchy, whereas John Locke opposed on the basis of man's natural rights. Bossuet and Locke have different views on the government’s source of power and their ideas about the rights of the people, but agreed that their chosen theories are in the best interest of the people and held their country's unity in high regard. The first thing we can look at when comparing the two philosophers ideas, is their differences of opinions on the government's source of power.

Jean Domat, a royally appointed juror by king Louis helped explain a better understanding of the new system of governance to the people of France in his writings.
Voting could be considered the most prestigious principle for the definition of democracy. The ability to vote for an official, governor, representative, or president has been a cherished one and has kept the powerful in check by giving the power to the people. In this modern generation, voting is not considered a privilege, it is a right, but there are devious loopholes in the fallible laws that have violated the rights of the majority of citizens. These loopholes have given the power of choice back to the hands of the powerful, and they do so through covert methods, some thought out and created by the founding fathers themselves. The fault rightfully shifts to the Electoral College.
Robert Owen was a social activist whom wanted to create the perfect society. Termed the “father of British socialism” Owen had his eyes set on the “New Land” across the pond…America. He felt that the states offered great opportunity for is dream to blossom, he was going to build a utopian community and change the way everybody viewed Socialism.
There might be less corruption when having a monarchy since if you risk corruption you will serve the consequences and when you know your position lasts a lifetime then you will be aware of the consequences being more cautious while other elected leaders that last a few years might take advantage of it knowing they’re position will only last a couple of years.
