The time of when cotton factories were running was not safe for children or anyone for that matter. This was a time of hiring people to do the dirty work and get hurt. Children working at the mills were beaten, abused, malnourished, and much more. The cotton mills should have never existed with this kind of abuse happening inside the factories.
