A government should protect its country and its citizens. A government should provide its people with law and order, and give us structure, rights, leadership, and basic functions. Like transportation, roads, and security. Although great power from a government comes with great responsibility. And some people abuse this power, acting irresponsibly. Some people who have abused their power to brainwash people and act irrationally are Hitler, Putin, and Stalin. The graphic novel V for Vendetta written by Alan Moore shows a government that abuses its power to brainwash its people and have control over them. By invading their privacy, listening to anything and everything they say as well as what they do. V is angry with the government. V felt hurt and betrayed by them. He was angry for many reasons. One reason was that he, and others, were stuck in a concentration camp for a long period. He was there because he was being experimented on along with many other kids. There was a large sum of kids, but they, unfortunately, did eventually die. Due to the externalities of the experiments. V was the last one left out of the kids. In the concentration camps, there were thousands of innocent lives taken away, by the government. For this, V was angry. She started as a scared, sad girl looking for a way to survive after her parents passed. Then she grew to be someone who stands for what she believes in and has confidence and a voice. The government took away Evey's parents. This negatively affected her and the views she had of herself. Until V showed her the hidden secrets of the government like art, music, and flowers.
