What is a parable? According to D. Stein “Parable” is the standard translation of the Septuagint for the Hebrew word marshal. In the parables listed in the book of Luke all shared a unique meaning.
These parables aim to teach a series of lessons for all Christians to expound and explain to others. People have discussed their views about the narrative of Luke. Some have said the book of Luke has a great desire to advance the kingdom of God. Then others have said that because Luke shares valuable information, Luke has an intention to share his spiritual condition. When we look closer to the book of Luke we notice it is remarkable. Jesus has comment on a certain parable. He said, “Just so, I tell you, there is joy before one sinner who repents”. …show more content…

If the unjust judge grant access to the persistent lady how much more would God grant access. By his generous quality we see the kingdom of God displays his loving nature. The fact that the unjust judge did grant access, the kingdom of God has kindness. The parable of the mina focuses on getting across the danger of laziness and unproductivity. Judging by the parable, the kingdom of God is all for productivity. This parable is shown purposefully to make people aware to avoid laziness and slothfulness. God is a God of results. Therefore the kingdom of God is against slothfulness but for advancement. In conclusion, we know symbolically the banquet in Luke 14 stands in representation of the kingdom of God. In the passage, the king sent out servant to invite those to come in the kingdom to get the blessings but all declined. Therefore the king ordered for the poor, blind, cripple, and lame to come in the kingdom.
We carry the belief that those who decline were considered the Jews and the poor, blind, cripple and lame were Gentiles. As Gentiles we were poor, blind, cripple and lame, but now we are added to the family of God and is fully restored. When Jesus added us to the family and we now experience
