In Act 3 scene 2 of Macbeth from the Freed- Hardeman University production, Chris Pate acts as Macbeth and Tansy Waldrop acts as Lady Macbeth. Both of the actors present themselves properly. Act 3 scene 2 was unique, significant, and excellent. One of the best scenes in the the whole movie. It has a perfect mood, plot and character development.
With Macbeth being a general in the Scottish military, he had major influences on people and their daily lives. After the murder of King Duncan, Banquo’s suspicion of who committed the murders arose around a single suspect, Macbeth. Knowing that Banquo most likely knew the truth that Macbeth killed King Duncan, Macbeth went back to his evil ways with ease. Through his attendant, Macbeth summons three murderers. Shakespeare introduces the murders with stage direction “[Re-enter Attendant, with two Murderers]” (Shakespeare, 363), in which Macbeth he uses Banquo as bait in order to gain their graces and loyalty “That it was he in the times past which held you so under fortune, which you thought had been our innocent self: this I made good to you in our last conference, pass'd in probation with you, how you were borne in hand, how cross'd, the instruments, who wrought with them, and all things else that might, so half a soul and to a notion crazed, Say 'Thus did Banquo.'”
Analysis of Act 4 Scene 1 * Begins with witches instead of Macbeth to emphasise their control over him Act 4 Scene 1 correlates with the beginning scenes of the play. In these parts of the play, the witches are able to foresee Macbeth’s ‘destiny’ signifying the type power they have over him. Their prediction for Macbeth is foreshadowed through casting a spell including ingredients of entrails or body parts of loathed animals or human beings. For example, the ‘eye of newt and toe of frog’ and ‘wool of bat and tongue of dog’ when taken together are inferred as creating a monster. In this case, the witches’ predict that Macbeth’s actions and decisions will become monstrous once he has lost his human like qualities.
Act 1 in Macbeth was pretty interesting. It introduced some kind and great characters. But it also showed the worst in others. King Duncan was explained in his own little way. He is a great person, but he is also really bad with trusting people.
“Avaunt, and quit my sight! Let the earth hide thee. / Thy bones are marrowless; thy blood is cold; / Thou hast no speculation in those eyes / Which thou dost glare with” (3.4.93-96). Macbeth hallucinates and claims that he sees Banquo’s ghost.

As we begin to prepare for Banquo 's funeral, I can overhear people whispering to each other as Lady Macbeth and I step through the dark and gloomy hallway. Does anyone know it was I who had Banquo killed? I cannot afford having anyone knowing of this, not even my dear wife. As Banquo 's funeral inches closer and closer, my hand begins to drip in sweat and I can feel Lady Macbeth 's eyes burning holes into my soul.
The version of Macbeth Act 5 Scene 1 that was the most true to Shakespeare 's vision was the Kate Fleetwood version. The Kate Fleetwood version was more successful than the Judi Dench version due to the portrayal of Lady Macbeth and her downfall. In the Judi Dench version of Act 5 Scene 1 of Macbeth the tone is sad not crazy. As well as Lady Macbeth is portrayed as more sad than irrational/anxious and guilty.

The Death of banquo his former best mate has Macbeth reflecting about the moments happening in his life. Macbeth states “I had else been perfect,Whole as the marble, founded as the rock”(2.4.23-24) banquo 's death has Macbeth reflection about his old self and how he used to be a strong man with free will and now he 's reduced to a man who 's easily manipulated almost like a shell of his former self. This scene establishes that Macbeth is no longer the man he used to be he a ghost of his former self.
The scene Act 3 scene 2, conveys the theme that killing someone isn't the most proficient way in dealing with problems nor does it make life simpler, instead it creates more complications. Ironically, In this scene Lady Macbeth and Macbeth discuss the death of Banquo; both of them begin to show signs of fear & guilt. Both of them realize the troubles that come with killing Banquo, and recognize that troubles follow; his son Fleance can still cease the prophecy. This is demonstrated in the metaphorical quote “We have scorched the snake, not killed it.” Macbeth refers to Banquo as a snake, who has not yet been killed and is still able to “attack” them.
After Macbeth hires murderers to kill Banquo, he is “greeted by” the ghost of Banquo while at a Banquet. He sees the ghost and starts speaking to it, while the others are watching. He says
Act 2, scene 2 is quite an important scene in Macbeth, since it marks the changes of the characters, Macbeth and Lady Macbeth. Their thoughts and emotions are presented in this particular scene. It shows the different roles that they play and how much they have been influenced by the witches’ prophecies. Lady Macbeth claims to be courageous in the beginning of the scene, by saying ‘that which hath made them drunk made me bold’. She seems to be very keen about this murder and very confident, and the fact that she was alone on stage emphasises it.

In the soliloquy in Act three Scene 1 of Macbeth by Shakespeare, Macbeth talks to himself about the problems of being a king and he is afraid of what might happen to him. Macbeth also talks about how Banquo was his friend and how Banquo is the only person he fears. Macbeth’s predicament in the soliloquy is that he is afraid of losing his crown and that Banquo will get in his way. This is important because Macbeth does not trust anyone anyone because he does not feel safe and is convinced that the wrong thing are actually good. Through the literary devices of metaphor and personification, it will help us demonstrate Macbeth’s predicament.

The imagery used of a brain physically over-heating accentuates the idea that Macbeth is beginning to lose his sanity as his brain can no longer function accordingly due to all the incalescence. Not only does the thought of killing Duncan cause Macbeth to hallucinate but also after having ordered the murder of Banquo, his guilt stricken conscience causes him to see Banquo 's ghost. No one else at the banquet can see the ghost which emphasizes that Macbeth is losing his sanity. Macbeth asks "Which of you have done this" (Act3:4:53) after seeing Banquo 's ghost because he believes one of the guests to be playing a prank on him as he is not aware that his own mind is hallucinating due to all the remorse.
