Toyota XSE Have you ever watched a commercial and thought Wow, I want that? There is a lot that goes into an ad or commercial for a product. Advertisements, rather in print or on tv works by capturing the reader’s attention by making their product seem like the best thing since sliced bread. They make their product an it factor, using an athlete or someone famous in it, or just by making it look like the hottest thing around, which makes people want it. People want and need to be like that famous person or have that product to feel good about themselves. According to Hearst.com, “Good Housekeeing is a magazine that reaches an audience of 30+ million each month. It is read by adult woman, featuring articles about woman’s interest, product testing . . . recipes, diet, health and wellness and literary articles.” By placing an ad in this kind of magazine, the company of any product knows mothers or adult females will see this ad and want to drive it, buy it or just talk about it with their friends, family and co workers. There is an advertisment for a Toyota XSE advertised in this magazine. The first thing you see when you look at this ad is it is very clean, bright and captures your attention. Its not very busy but it describes the car as safe. This car also has everything that is wanted; tinted windows, nice rims, its sleek and looks very sporty. It does not show the inside but, right now its not as important as what the outside looks like. People who may find this vehicle attractive are millenniums, new drivers and parents. Toyotas are a household name and has been in business for over 80 years and been improving ever since they rolled out their first car. "It's been [over] 28 years since Camry first went on sale ... [and] more than 90 percent of all Camrys built during the past 1 5 years are still on the road today" (Vasilash).
