Luxury items can be very tempting to want. In this spring magazine Traditional Home ad, it advertises Geico is trying to persuade people to save money for the things they want. This ad is very different from the Geico ads that are normally presented. When people think of Geico ads, they automatically expect an enormous, ridiculous savings quote with a lime green frog representing it. However, this ad is shown extraordinary. It is presented with a sofa and big, bold words that surrounded it. This ad tempts the audience to think about how to spend money, and it is successful by using imagery, color, and phrases. The tufted sofa, use in this ad is stunning, and very appealing. It is a sexy, red couch that sits directly on top in this magazine. This is a unique way to grab the audience’s attention. Who does not like to lounge around and relax? This sofa has multiple reasons it can be used, such as spending time with family in the living room, watching television, and even getting a nice quick nap in on this comfortable sofa.
