Just like any other human Adele Laurie Blue Adkins has flaws that she is aware of. Even though she grew up to be a British and American famous singer, her childhood was filled with incidents that probably influence her present state and personality. From reading about Adele and watching candid interviews with her, one could say that Adele is a humanitarian and philanthropist who is deeply concerned about the world which she shows deep compassion and idealism. Adele also shows to be entrepreneurial and progressive, she is determined to do things well until her goals are achieved. Adele also seems to recover expeditiously from setbacks or obstacles thrown at her.

As a child, Adele father was not a consistent father figure in her life. The famous singer was raised in a single parent home where her mother was the sole provider. Adele father was inconsistent with their relationship due to him being consumed by alcohol which was the motivation for their estranged relationship. Even though depression was said to be developed from negative thoughts, Ellis refuted. Corey (2015) asserts that depression can be provoked by genetic, neurobiological, or environmental changes. The relationship Adele had with her father could have affected her depression as it could have been one of the changes that took a toll on her life.
Furthermore, expanding Adele depression was the fact that her Grandfather died when she was just 10 years old. Corey (2015) mentions depressed client had a negative bias in their interpretation of certain life events, which resulted from active processes of cognitive distortions. Dealing with the death of her grandfather at the age of ten (10), Adele already had a negative perception of live events.
