Introduction The article “Anger in Adolescent Communities: How Angry Are They?” is focused on the way in which the adolescents involved in the study have been impacted by elements in their life that can contribute to anger. In addition, the researchers were able to describe the participants response to anger. The experiences, emotions, and responses of the sample were generalized and characterized with the use of instruments such as questionnaires. The researcher findings were quantified and organized with two tables. The information was then compared to the research findings of Charles Spielberger’s study called “State-trait Anger Expression Inventory”. The purpose of the research article is to become aware of the number of adolescents aged 12 to 19 in a non-clinical community that self-report their anger. The purpose is congruent with the problem which is a broad statement. The problem is associated with the need to identify angry adolescents so that the best treatment can be provided for them to successfully develop in their communities in spite of the negative emotions experienced. The population is clearly identified as adolescents of ages 12 to 19 that are members of a large Southeastern Baptist Church. There is a total of twenty-five references on the reference page and each article is focused around anger, depression, substance abuse, adolescents, and mental health. Each of these elements are related to the topic of anger in adolescents, which shows that the sources are relevant to this research article. However, there were not any articles that presented opposing information, which may be a limitation because bias was not addressed by the researchers. There are three instances within the entire research article that quotations are used, but the majority of the information from the literature sources is paraphrased. I can determine the primary from the secondary sources. The secondary sources include two articles from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention and one article from Bureau of Justice Statistics. The remaining sources are primary sources. Eight of the twenty-five literature sources were published within five years of the year that this particular article was published. There are seventeen sources that were not published within the last five years of this particular article. The oldest source was published in the year 1883. Although the majority of the literature sources are not considered
