Description: During this activity the children will be provided an anger meter. This meter will be drawn on construction paper, numbered one threw five exspressing different anger emotions. Behind each emotion, there will be a flap giving a solution. This meter will also give the children a chance to react to each emotion. It will teach them to comtrol their emotions as well as handle their disappointments. Rationale: 1. Discuss why you are planning this activity at this particular time? I plan this activity because it relates to this weeks activity plan. This activity is a unique and easy way to have fun while teaching them how to control their anger. Children react because they are confused about their emotion. They are not able to handle them because it feels so strong. My solution is to give them a reation to what they are feeling. How is this activity/center relevant to overall classroom planning?This activity not only teaches different types of anger, it also gives them a reaction to express or solve their soulution. The children will have the opportunity to make different faces and demistrate the reaction of their pick. This activity will also enhance their vocabulary as well. 3. How is this activity/center developmentally appropriate? I am planning this activity because it is appropriate for this age group. Children at the age of one are not certain on how to control their arger. They are expected to cry about any emotion they are not familier with. This activity will not only teach them new words but will give them a reaction to their distraction. 4.
