Large numbers of soldiers enrolled then left Australia. Sadly, many did not return. Families struggled greatly when
The Federation makes it quite easy to quit a term of service before completion even during war-time, but once someone has quit, they are never allowed to enroll again. This is to ensure that all volunteers are dedicated, whilst also discouraging people from

Strengthen Mental Health Care in Australia They are investing in a modern 21st century mental health system that targets support, care and funding at the regional level through the new Primary Health Networks (PHNs).
Good morning Ms Eagle and 10B. World War 2 started during 1939 and continued to 1945. These 6 years consisted of bloody battles and brought terrible trauma. This multimodal presentation will discuss the impact World War 2 had on the Australian citizens living and working in Australia during the war. My hypothesis for this topic is that the war changed Australians lives severely. I believe their lives during the time of the war would have been very hard, constantly living in fear of what was to come.
Once WWI ended, less Australians wanted to be part of the Australian Army. This can be illustrated from the photo of the Australian military, as a lot less men were in training in the time of peace (Army, 1919-1938). Importing that WWI was meant to be the ‘war that ends all wars, ‘so the soldiers from WWI didn’t want to continue training in the military. This is because they lost their “innocence” after WWI. The word “innocence” is a significant reason why there were less enlistments at the outbreak of WWII.
How was conflict created between the Australians and Germans? (Intro) When WW1 was announced in Australia on the 4th of August 1914, every German person living in Australia was treated with hostility and suspicion as Germany was an enemy to Australia, all Australians thought that the Germans would support Germany, thus the conflict was created. Focus questions: 1. What was the impact for Germans living in Australia during WW1?
RSL or the Returned and Services League of Australia is a well-known and respected league objected to “promoting the interests and welfare of serving and ex-serving men and women of Australian Defence Force (ADF) and their dependants” (RSL Constitution, 2018, pg. __). This is proven through their care of sick and elderly as well as their assistant to provide medical treatment, accommodation and other types of welfare to not only their members but to all that served and are serving the ADF and their dependants. They are considered the united voice of the ADF in 1916, after World War I when there was a need to protest against the limited government support for the returned servicemen. The RSL overall lobby the government to provide welfare services
Legalized conscription truly revolutionized Canada’s future. The efforts put into making conscription possible created positive results, the increase in Canadian economy , increase in respect for women, and women 's political rights. All of this had only happened because of conscription. The Canadian economy improved drastically due to conscription.
Throughout history, countries are inevitably pulled into conflicts that result in war. These conflicts usually occur because of interests in: economic gain, territorial gain, religion, and nationalism. America, like every country, needs a military to defend itself, especially when tensions arise in other parts of the world and when militia numbers start to decrease. This then allows the government to draft its population to serve in the military. People argue that young men and women’s bright lives are often cut short, and not allowed their Constitutional right to “Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness”, but there are many benefits for the nation and the individual by serving one’s country.
The Australian welfare system plays an integral role in the protection of the health and well-being of all Australian citizens. However, due to rapidly changing socio-economic factors, the Australian welfare system may not always be capable of providing just and satisfactory support to the disadvantaged. As a result, the Australian government regularly undertakes important welfare reforms by amending its social policy, in order to remunerate the faults and compensate for social changes within the Australian welfare system. In 1990 the commonwealth government expressed particular concern regarding the dramatic increase in lone parents and people with disabilities receiving pension-type payments.
Hurley & Treacy (1993) would argue that the focus should be on consciousness raising and collective action, in an effort to bring about societal change. By implementing youth work that is focused on meeting Government priorities and prescribed outcomes, the underpinning principles of youth work (autonomy, empowerment, and a therapeutic relationship) are being forgotten (Scanlon 2011; Youth Work Act
What is Compulsory Voting? Compulsory voting is a system in which electors are obligated to vote in elections and attend a polling place on the voting day. If an eligible voter does not attend a polling booth, or cast a postal vote, he or she may be subjected to a penalty which may be a fine or community service.
Is mandatory vaccination really necessary? Experts around the world collectively say 'Yes '. Mandatory vaccinations have proven, several times throughout history, to be incredibly helpful and at times crucial to the well-being of the human race. Mandating certain vaccines has saved entire nations from disaster and defeat. The lack of vaccinations and medical treatment for some viruses has wiped out populations as a whole.
The primary aim of mandatory volunteering is to encourage teenagers to be decent and caring citizens. By this way, high school students are to complete 30 to 40 hours unpaid service in their communities in order to graduate. Some people claim that having mandatory volunteering in the school program is extracurricular and affects students’ activity in the class. However, I strongly believe that it would be beneficial for their future states in a number of ways. First reason that I believe mandatory volunteering is beneficial is that it involves a great number of people from young age to serve in community.
