I think restricting civil libertied during wartime is never justified. It is not nice to classify someone as a bad person just because their country is in a war with yours. Even though both your countries are in a war together, it does not mean that you both can not have peace together because of your countries. It is espically rude to treat a whole nationality differenty, discriminate them, and to take away their rights. Many Japanese Americans, African Americans, and Mexican Americans faced discrimination during World WarⅡ. Many Japanese Americans faced dicrimination during World WarⅡ. It all started when Japanese military forces attacked Pearl Harbor. After the event, many Americans feared that some Japanese Americans were spies for Japan to help Japan submarines attack military bases or coastal cities. Due to these thoughts, President Roosevelt issued a order to imprison Japanese Americans for the duration of the war. They transported them to remote internment camps inclosed by barb wire, while armed soldiers looked down at them from guard towers. …show more content…

Many African and Mexican Americans were discriminated when they joined the U.S. military because they were in differnet units then the whites. They were trying to help our country out by joining the war, but by helping, they get discriminated. Many jobs during the time would not allow African Americans to work there either. Lastly, many Mexican Americans were made fun of for the clothes they weared just because they were differnet and out of the ordinary. In conclusion, you should never restrict civil liberties during wartime. It is unfair and just plain rude. You are ruining your country by having many nationalities turning on you. You should not assume everyone is bad because their country is in war with yours. You should think before you assume because it can really hurt someones
