What is education? According to the Oxford dictionary “Education is the process of receiving or giving systematic instruction especially at a school or university”. Most agree with Nelson Mandela's statement “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”. Education is one of the most precious thing in one's life. The act of learning empowers most especially the ones that know how to use the resources surrounding them. For many years the Canadian Board of Education has been using Standardized Testing as a form of examination. Thus, it this form of testing should continue because, it provides student progress data, it encourages students to always set themselves for success, and it does not increase student stress level.

Firstly, the continuation of standardized testing in Canada provides student progress data, in a ever changing world where technology and education needs increase, it's necessary for school and students to know their weakness and strength to be able at the end to better perform. Mulvenon a professor at the University of Arkansas states that “ The vast majority of students do not exhibit stress and have positive attitude towards standardized testing programs. Students who reported more anxiety or pressured didn't do worse on the test”. Hence, having a little bit of stress before a performance is normal and a provincial exam will most likely not stress the students, the level of stress of the affected students will not degrease their performance and score on the
