Alphonse Gabriel Capone was born with a name that called for the invitation of some respect to the underworld; he is also known as Al Capone or simply Scarface. He is the one who organized and planned the takeover of Chicago by a criminal network towards the end of the prohibition era. The rise of Al Capone from Brooklyn-based gangster to head gangster of Chicago’s underworld during the prohibition era is an example of how merciless ambition blends with smart intelligence, peculiarly defining his reputation as an intimidating outlaw who, at the same time, captured the public eye with awe. He was involved in many murders, one of which was the murder of Joe Howard and the leader of a gang named Dion O’Bannion. Law enforcement has tried numerous times to press charges against Al Capone, yet failed and would always escape punishment. One of his best-known crimes was the 1929 St. Valentine’s Day Massacre, a mass murder of seven members of George “Bugs” Moran’s gang shot and killed inside a garage on the north side of Chicago. Being so much of an influence in the gang world, his wealth was estimated to be $100 million and more, and being such a historic figure in the 1920s, a film called Scarface (Britannica). Al Capone's rise to power was mainly due to the prohibition of 1920, which was the banning of production, importing, transporting, and sale of all alcoholic drinks. It was a great opportunity to participate in Capone, which capitalized on trading alcoholic beverages. Successfully meticulously planning every trading route created a bootlegging operation.
