The arbitration document between Alex Rodriguez and MLB explained how the player committed violations of the Joint Drug Agreement (JDA) and Basic Agreement leading to a substantial disciplinary penalty.
Through the document the MLB provided different evidences demonstrating the Alex Rodriguez used three different banned substances such as IGF-1, testosterone and HGH during three seasons at three different points in that time. In this case , Commissioner Selig seems to have a particular interest of exposing Alex Rodriguez. Commissioner Selig even hired private investigators beside the M.L.B’s in house investigative department without consulting with he rest of the group. Commissioner Selig was not order to testify and refused to meet with Mr. Rodriguez provoking a unfair situation in this particular case.
