Alexander the great grew up in a wonderful Kingdom, and he lived in the palace because his dad was the king. Every day he would surprise his dad with a new skill. All Alexander wanted to do was impress his dad. But his dad divorced his mom and married a younger lady and they had a son, Alexander was very angry because that jeopardized his throne when his father would die. Alexander and his father became very far apart from each other and then Philip the 11 which is Alexander's father put him in jail. After a couple of months went by the king threw a festival and he was killed by a peasant with a dagger. They took Alexander out of jail and made him king. Alexander had a huge army and many places to make peace with. The next month his army was in top shape and ready to go. The first city state Alexander wanted to make peace to was Thebes. When Alexander and his army got there, they camped out on the beach. The next day Alexander sent a messenger to say “we want to have peace and be an army together”. The king of Thebes sent a note back saying there will be no peace with Greece and Thebes. But Alexander gave them a couple of days to think about it, but Thebes army attacked Alexander but Thebes lost horribly. …show more content…

After Alexander captured all the persians he said to never come back to egypt and he let most of the persians go except the people that were cold blooded. After the war in egypt All the Egyptians saw Alexander as their hero. After the war, he saw that Egypt was destroyed so alexander built the city named alexandria. The city was very complex.
