Alexander the Great was the most famous and beloved ruler of Macedonia. Alexander was able to go down as the best ruler in history. Alexander accomplished many different things while he was in power. The three biggest accomplishments were being the greatest ruler of Macedonia, conquering different empires, and spreading Hellenistic culture.
Alexander came to power after his dad was assassinated. Alexander had a lot to learn when he became the ruler of Macedonia. Alexander was able to learn that with every decision came many different consequences. Alexander figured out that with all these problems anyone of them can be solved with a solution. Alexander was not only the king of Macedonia but he was able to become the most courageous military general in history. He started with the small empire of Macedonia, and he was able to prove that even though his empire was small yet very powerful. Alexander expanded his empire all throughout Europe conquering bigger and stronger empires. He was able to conquer these empires by outsmarting them. Alexander came up with military strategies that seemed unusual and impossible at the time. He figured out that he did not have to go through the whole army to gather a victory, but that he had to go through a small portion of them and have the leader of the empire surrender to him. His army was the strongest known at the time. When Alexander took his journey across Europe, he took his men through the very harsh terrain. He wanted to prove that nothing could stand in his way. Along with his routes through Europe, he was able to learn about various different attacks. He learned military tactics such as ambushes, flanks, and the one used the most was the seizing the leader. Alexander became the best ruler in history using his strategy of seizing the leader first. This attack worked extremely well for this time period because no one had ever heard of such a thing. When Alexander first started using this tactic everyone told him it was gonna fail but he proved them wrong. Alexander was the best at warfare and it did not matter who he faced, they would lose in the end. Alexander's biggest accomplishment was the spread of Hellenistic culture. He took Greek culture and combined it with different religions all throughout the middle east; especially Hellenistic culture, that was used by the Macedonians for centuries.
