[The camera starts on a street sign that says Maple Street. Pans down onto a chaotic street with violence.]
Narrator- This is Maple Street, USA. This street once was a happy street where neighbors sat on gliders and chatted from their porch, while children played and ate ice cream from the ice cream vendor. As you can see, this street is the exact opposite now. Children hide in fear, as their parents fight with other parents about aliens. A bright flash caused all of this, you see. Some thought is was a meteor. Others thought an alien invasion. The lights wouldn 't come on, the electricity was out, radios won 't turn on, and cars won 't run. Strange occurrence, yes. Worth killing over, no.

[Mrs. Van Horn hugs a nearby woman, still crying]
Police Officer- Where is this "Charlie"?
Man- Over there....
[ the man points over to an bruised and beaten man. The officer walks over to the man]
Police Officer- Sir, are you Charlie?
[Charlie nods his head]
Police Officer- Ok, did you kill Mr. Pete Van Horn?
Charlie- Yes, but I did not know it was him..... He just came out of no where and I was scared so I shot him..... I thought he was the alien.
Police Officer- Ok, this is more serious than I thought
[Police walks back to car, and gets on radio. People from crowd watch as he talks for a minute. He walks back to crowd]
Police Officer- I need everyone to stay calm and wait until back up comes to get Pete 's body, and to get Charlie, so we can start questioning.him.We need to question all of you, actually. How did Charlie get so beat up?
[no body talks. Everyone just stares at the ground]
Police Officer- That 's what I thought.
[Black out]
Scene 3
[ camera shows a car pulling onto Maple street. A tall, lean man gets out of the vehicle]
Bobby- Mom?
[The man pushes through the crowd and hugs Mrs. Van Horn]
Mrs. Van Horn- Oh, Bobby! Your father..... Your father....
Bobby- What mom?

Scene 4
[sirens start and police cars come into view. Police jump out and come over to the original officer. They whisper for a brief moment]
Police Officer- Bobby Van Horn, you are under arrest for the murder of Charlie Johnson, not to mention the assault
[They usher Bobby into the car, handcuffed]
Police officer- All of you will be further questioned by an officer. We have an electrician on the way to check on your houses. As for your car 's, you will be responsible for their repairs. For now, go into your own houses and wait for an officer to stop by.
[Steve walks over to Mrs. Van Horn]
Steve- Mrs. Van Horn, I am truly sorry about your husband. He and I were good friends. I am sorry. Everyone!
[Everyone turns around and looks at Steve]
Steve- I knew none of your were aliens. I think we all knew none of us were. I think we all just let our minds wander and wander too far. We got paranoid and lost faith and trust in our closest friends. Isn 't that awful!? A little flash of light, roar of thunder, and we loose power, and next thing we know, we are at each others neck!
Woman- I knew it wasn 't you Steve. Or you, Tommy. Or even Charlie. I knew in my heart it wasn 't any
