Founder of scientology, Ron Hubbard, started his studies of the mind and spirit in 1923 creating a manuscript called excalibur in 1938. Scientology was first created in some of his unpublished work. It was used to describe the study of “knowing how to know”. Dianetics was soon introduced as a broader version of scientology to help provide a way of therapy. To help spread his new findings he traveled all around the world to 4 different continents and opened several new churches. He leaves millions of papers and works in his legacy of creator of scientology. He has more than 250 million books in circulation and many speeches written used to help persuade and describe the scientologist community.
Scientologists are relentless in trying to get others to share their religious beliefs, and much of their proselytizing (attempts to convert people) is based on their belief in that Scientology has improved their lives and can do the same for those who also convert. More members a specific Church brings in, the more money each Scientology employees receive. When spreading their belief, two Scientologists put an ad in the Village Voice asking for $1 for a book "in a plain wrapper." Many celebrities strided towards this religion bringing in a lot of money and followers. This change stirred the leaders of the religion.
