Marcia Durity, Durity LLC will oversee the study and aid the general physicians, family medicine physicians, internists and gastroenterologist at each doctor’s group office and Ambulatory Surgical Centers in Coral Springs, FL and Parkland, FL to implement this evaluation.

Data Collection Management

The following data will be collected: patient age, gender, socio-economic status, and patient preference for either the CT colonography or the colonoscopy procedure or willing to undergo a procedure that you did not prefer. This is evaluated on the Likert questionnaire by addressing feelings about several issues such as the process for cleansing the bowel, light exposure to radiation, risk of internal injury, sedation use, inserting devices within the body, embarrassment, noninvasive, pain, discomfort, comfortable, bloating, cramping, waiting times before and during the procedure, convenience, and the ability to drive and return to work after the procedure.
First and foremost, the office manager, the HIT technician and Ambulatory Surgical Center Staff must have Microsoft EXCELsoftware on their computer 6 months before the beginning of the study. This will take 2 years to complete all tests. At these centers, the patient may complete the post-Likert questionnaire via a portable EHR directly after the procedure or via the patient portal within 3 days of the procedure. The Office staff at the Ambulatory Surgical Centers exports the post Likert questionnaire to a saved file monthly and then after the two years exports it to the scientist and the statistician. The same policy applies to the each office manager who retrieves the post-Likert questionnaire from the patient
