Born in Atchison, Kansas, July 24, 1897, Amelia was a leader and a role model for all female and even male's interested or involved in aviation. Her journey to success started in an "upper-middle class household of her maternal grandparents" (Bio.com). Amelia was a tall women with a slender face and short, curled, brown hair. She was skinny and always had a smile on her face. Her dream was to fly, in the light blue sky, above the clouds in a place were she was happy. Because she loved the sky and the air, with all her heart, she had an air-heart that only the sensation of flying could fill. Amelia was born on July 24, 1897, and was declared deceased in 1939. Edwin, her father couldn't find a job anywhere and had to keep changing his career.
