Over the year in American history class we learned a lot of things the U.S. went through over the years, from when they became a country to present day. Although all of their challenges were pretty tough one stood out the most. THE GREAT DEPRESSION was the greatest test that the U.S. had to overcome and surpass! The pressure everyone went through during that period was just so surreal! America has proven its strength as a nation and we as a nation should be proud to be part of a great nation that some people overseas are just dying to be a part of (America). survive during the period of the great depression, but what a lot of people don’t know is that what really helped America escaped the great depression was World War II. This is demonstrated by Wendari, who wrote in his article that “Some economists believe that the country's entrance into the war -- which spurred increased industrial and labor production for the war effort -- was the primary reason the Depression ended”(Wendari n.pag). if it wasn’t for the U.S’s full engagement in world war II then the U.S. probably wouldn’t be able to get out of the great depression because the war triggered more industrial productions for the war they made stuff like: tanks, jeeps, weapons and much more. The industrial production really helped put an end to the great depression. Although we should give a lot of credit to Franklin D. Roosevelt and his new deal programs for help keeping the U.S. from not falling down any worse than it already
