Murder, Money, and mayhem this was Miami’s culture in the 70s. An interesting era in Miami, an era of growth, an era of development, an era of drugs and an abundant of violence. The 70s were iconic, without this era Miami wouldn’t be Miami. The Ochoas, Escobars, Mejias might as well be deemed the creators of the Miami we know today. They fueled the industry that would fund metropolitan vacation spot that Miami is today. Money and corruption lured many to the warm beaches, and the drugs kept them here. Drug trafficking had always existed, however the 70s saw a massive movement. Miami was considered part of the south at that time, the night clubs, and restaurants were nonexistent.
