Why do you think some Canadians feel that their way of life is overshadowed by that of the United States?
It is true to some Canadians feels their way of life is overshadowed to some extent by that of the United States even though the two countries are top trading partners and share almost 4000-mile territorial boundaries. Of course, the population of the United States was approximately 320 million compared to the Canadian population of 30 million depicting that the former is ten times as large as the later. This means that the United States of America has an enormous impact on the social sphere like social media platform promoting their sense of belief.

This situation is what is mostly known as the American Ignorance where its population is unaware of the events of the other countries. Some theorists have tried to explain the incidences in that once a population is made aware of a complex issue the society attempts to solve the same problem through ignorance. This theory makes sense since Americans attribute a neighbor like the Mexico to issues like drugs and immigration menaces. Therefore, the negative public mentality prompts a proportion of the population to avoid creating a positive interest in knowing more about these countries. The same can be said about Canada with their different policies that conflict with their policies. Besides the complexity of the issues in their neighboring countries, most of the United States face complex issues in their own country. They have sports events to worry about, political issues to address, financial issues to tackle and personal lives to live.
