“The starting point of all achievement is desire” (Napoleon Hill). No matter where a student goes to school whether it is at a junior high school or at Providence Catholic High School students who have desire will do well. However there are many differences between Troy Middle School and Providence Catholic High School. There are two main areas that they are different in and they are academics and athletics. Providence Catholic High School and Troy Middle School both focus on academics and athletics, however; Troy Middle School makes a more competitive experience and a creates a positive learning experience.

First, both Troy Middle School and Providence Catholic High School the cross-country team enable athletes to work at their own ability and pace; while in training students have to run for three hard days out of the five days. By running the three days it can make it easier to run the race that week. When running in the XC race people feel like they need to bet the person or persons in front of them. However in different schools students run two miles and in high school students have to run 3 miles for races. The XC team at Providence is fun but not as fun as what we did Troy. All the training that we did at Providence was not as much fun. While, PCHS has a XC team, Troy has a better way for students to get involved with the sport and to meet new friends. All of the games that involved with running help students to get better. The more students run the better that they will become. Even though both schools provide a Cross-Country program, Troy creates a Cross-Country program which better meets the athletic needs of
