James Harden played with Russell Westbrook on the Oklahoma City Thunder during the first 3 years of his career. After three years of trying to win a championship and an embarrassing 4-1 loss to Lebron James’ heat in 2012 James Harden made a grievous choice to leave the Oklahoma city Thunder. In every year since Harden has left Westbrook he has been an all star, made the all NBA first team three times and led the Houston Rockets to the 2nd seed in the Western conference all by himself. James Harden couldn’t have had all of this success without leaving Russell Westbrook.
He went to AAU basketball for a while then went on to the NBA. The games were about the same everywhere. He didn’t get passed the ball much but when he did he made something special happen. He made history everywhere during this Civil Rights Movement. Stepping on the court in college and in the pros’ made history.
LaVar Ball and his sons have been the talk around the country, especially LaVar he has been saying a lot of outlandish things through his and other NBA legends and current players. LaVar has cause a some controversy towards the statement he has imply during his interview on shows and reporters, putting a lot of pressure on his sons, especially Lonzo. In his article “ Ranking Lavar Ball’s 10 most outlandish claims about himself and his sons” Andrew Joseph discussing the outrage claims statement of LaVar Ball towards himself and his sons. LaVar Ball went on to say his son Lonzo will be better than Stephen Curry, “I’ll tell you right now, he’s better than Steph curry to me”-LaVar Ball (1).
My rhetorical analysis is Stephen Curry believes he is the best basketball player in the world. Stephen Curry is currently the reigning MVP of the NBA and he won the NBA Championship the same year. He started right where he left off last season as he is carrying the warriors to potentially have the best record at the end of the season in NBA history while again putting up MVP statistics. Curry is currently having a highlight year and is not being considered the best shooter ever.
Derrick Rose plays for the Chicago Bulls in the NBA. Derrick Rose had a bunch of injuries almost 3 to 4 they were really serious too. Derrick Rose was really poor when he was young, homeless too when he was older. When Adidas signed with him and he got his first shoe released during the show of his new shoe he broke down crying. This really showed a lot of people how much he worked and how much he struggled in the past.
It’s that success and the sacrifices he made along the way that has earned the respect of his peers and led to him receiving the Chuck Daly Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Basketball Coaches Association during the 2012 NBA
In the Eddy Curry incident Chicago Bulls player Eddy Curry became faint while playing. Due to the possibility of losing one of their players, the Chicago Bulls wanted a DNA
There are 491 basketball players in the NBA, they all are very different in where they come from, who they are, and the impact that they are leaving behind. One player in particular is leaving his very own trademarked stamp on the NBA. That one players name is Derrick Rose, the youngest MVP in NBA history. Derrick Rose has played in the NBA for 10 years after attending the University of Memphis. He was a highly sought after recruit in high school with many scholarships mainly for being a once in a lifetime athlete who was known around the country for how explosive he was.
“The Ex Basketball Player” In this poem “The Ex Basketball Player” by John Updike, the use of metaphors, similes, diction, and clear tone all contribute to the theme of one must move on not trying to relive the glory days. Facts about the poem are a- Where he came from, b- His days as a high school player, and c- his days now and what he does.
While he was in college he brought his UCONN basketball team a championship. After he was drafted
I’m 5’9 and 130 pounds so I’m not exactly a large person. But Stephen Curry has inspired me to continue doing what I love no matter how much the odds are against me. I remember watching Stephen Curry for the first time. It was about two years ago when Lebron James and Ray Allen left the Miami Heat. It was the Nba Finals about 2 years ago and I remember the Golden State Warriors were playing the Cleveland Cavaliers.
In The Crossover by Kwame Alexander, Basketball Rules are a very important part. All together, they are a metaphor for life. There are three that stand out most to me. Basketball Rules 5, 7, and 8 are the three that I can compare to my life. Basketball Rule 5 says: When you've stopped playing your game, you've already lost.
He breaks records left and right. In the last 2 seasons, Stephen Curry has broke so many records, he has broke the record for the most 3 pointers in a season, which was his own record that he set, he has broke the record for the most 3 pointers in a game. He was the first ever unanimous MVP, like that is hard, everyone pretty much voted for him. He has won MVP the last 2 seasons. Like he is the best player in the league, who wouldn 't wanna be him?
What stood out to me was Stephen Curry did not draw his attention about the excruciating comments he kept following his incredible dream and practiced. Also he ignored incredible mean comments coming from horrible students who are bullies from other enormous schools but again he keeps on practicing and not worrying about the huge comments. Also Stephen Curry 's amazing family assist him over those mean comments from bully’s. Stephen Curry aspired his humongous dream and did not worry about the harsh comments around him when going into the NBA. Stephen Curry will always be a desired hard working basketball player that will have quiet
