The publisher explains characteristics, background information, and beliefs about Hades. In this article, Aaron gives information about Hades, a Greek and Roman god, who represents “The god of the dead” and the giver of wealth to humans. He apparently is supposed to take care and watch over Earth, making sure humans are plentiful in resources. He was especially important to the Greek religion, supposedly Hades, Zeus, and Poseidon, were the ones who defeated Kronos, their father and sworn enemy. His mother is Rhea, sister anad wife of Kronos. She gave birth to Hades, Zeus, Poseidon, Hera, Hestia, and Demeter. Hades goes by many other names like, Aides or Aidoneus in Greek, but in Roman it is Pluto or Pluton. …show more content…

This writer uses The Odyssey to explain most of what and who Hades is. In the website, and drawn from The Odyssey, Hades was depicted as a young adult or a middle-aged man, changing his appearance from 20-40 years of age. In the book, it says he has wings, but in Greek art, he is shown to have none. In most drawings and literature, he is said to own a stern look, with dark piercing eyes. Not only that, but he is said to have a dark personality and most of the other god’s and goddess’s did not like him but tolerated him. There are said to be no real symbols for Hades but some believe his bird-tipped scepter
