Though sometimes thought of as a single road, it is more accurate to describe the El Camino Real de los Tejas as a network of trails, with different routes used at different times. Numerous feeders branched off the main course and other segments didn 't appear until much later, with the trails coming together at San Antonio and Nacogdoches, the only two population centers in those early days. The trail also varied due to flooding and Indian threats. The route between Rio Grande River and San Antonio gradually shifted southeastward over time, due to threats by the Apache and Comanche tribes. In the beginning, it was almost exclusively utilized by Spaniards moving northeastward serving as a lifeline for the missions, as a trade route, and a cattle trail.
As a child, Victor was emotionally neglected by his father. He was never taught how to be a father because he did not have a good role model to look after. Consequently, when Victor’s creation came to life, he did not know how to act. He was scared and tried to run away from his problems. Since his creation has no parental figure to support and teach him, he develops behavioral problems and is very confused.
To be accused of both “child” neglect and abuse towards the monster is unjustifiable for Victor Frankenstein. Victor Frankenstein is not guilty for the “child” neglect and abuse of the monster because the monster is not a child, he was made up of many adult human body parts, Victor only created the monster, Victor did not teach the monster to kill and because the monster is responsible for its own actions. As the one of Victor Frankenstein’s defense attorney I believe that Victor Frankenstein should be declared innocent. Mary Godwin, not Shelley at the time, wrote Frankenstein about a nightmare that she had one night, “The dream was a morbid one about the creation of a new man by a scientist with the hubris to assume the role of god.” (Mary Shelley, Biography).
In the novel Frankenstein, written by Mary Shelley, one of the main characters Victor Frankenstein, his aspiration was to learn about how to bring the dead back to life. Eventually, he created a creature to which caused hectic to his life. Victor was amazed on how he brought this being to life but afraid on what it might do. He left the creature, roaming the streets of Geneva and it was the most horrible thing he's done. Some would rather say that the creature is not human, but I beg to differ because of two reasons, the creature is human because he has feelings and he has a conscious.
Frankenstein further speculates that the outside correlates with the inside when believing that the Creature’s distinctive eyes are a reflection of his predatory soul. Deprived of voice, the Creature’s visual characteristics are much more potent, and consequently, Victor’s only impression. When people hear the word “monster”, most people imagine a massive, horrid, and grotesque figure that haunts people. While pondering what a monster is, mankind thinks of the outward appearance. Seldom do people think of man’s internal qualities as being barbaric or gruesome. Authors allow readers to create their own images of these terrifying beings. Frankenstein is a thought-provoking novel that empowers readers to have their own opinions about who the actual monster is and what it looks like.
In Mary Shelley’s novel, Frankenstein, Victor Frankenstein creates an intelligent monster with no name. The creature is thrust into the world to fend for itself when Victor leaves it alone in his lab. The creature has childlike tendencies because he has recently been “born”. If the creature is viewed as a child, then Victor is essentially his father. There are many times in the book where the author elluded to Victor and the creature being like father and son.
In Shelly’s text, the Frankenstein’s abandonment of his creation causes him to revert to monstrosity. The monster himself laments this stating that his “feelings of affection…were requited by detestation and scorn” from Victor, which prompts him to seek “revenge” against him by murdering his friends and family (140). Because these acts stem from Frankenstein’s abandonment of his monster, the blame for all subsequent evils falls squarely to Victor Frankenstein. However, in the film, the monster is not made evil by abandonment so much as the accidental placement of a “criminal” brain in the creature as opposed to a “natural” one, a mistake made by Frankenstein’s bumbling assistant. By placing the blame for his monstrosity on innate, accidentally created qualities of the monster, the film absolves the blame for evil from Frankenstein.
The knocking stopped suddenly although it’s echos were still in the house. “I’m sorry” The words resounded through the room, giving off an eerie atmosphere. Mrs.White slowly turned around, a mix of both fear and desperation in her eyes. “You didn’t” she whispered, as tears threatened to fall.
In the novel Frankenstein,by Mary Shelley, the mysterious and unnatural origins of the character of Frankenstein’s monster are an important element. The Monster, having been created unethically and haphazardly, is at odds throughout the novel, resulting in his alienation from society and prolonged feelings of anger, desertion, and loneliness. Shaping his character, his relationships with other characters, and the meaning of the work as a whole, the Monster’s origins are what define him. The Monster faces rejection and violence every time he attempts to make contact with the new, foreign world he has been thrust into.
Without any guidance the monster was abandoned by Victor Frankenstein and forced to learn everything on his own. The monster was released into the world without any knowledge of morals, independence, solving problems, tolerance, or even communication. These are all essential skills that every child learns while growing up in. The monster did not have a childhood, but his development was similar to that of Victor’s childhood.
Nature and Frankenstein compare in their understanding of the relationship between human beings and the natural world because the natural world is an emotional experience and the influence of nature changes the mood drastically. The natural world is an emotional experience for Victor because he got depressed about the death of Justine and William. To cope with his feelings he decided to escape to the hills. Victor struggles to cope with the deaths: The sceneries help Victor out by cheering him up and acting as a sense of relief.
