In the film, a character by the name George Bailey, is one of the protagonist who runs a loan business in town. Through issuing of loans, he helps his people to be able to manage acquiring and affording a home. A times comes when he tries to hand over business to another person while he goes to pursue other career aspiration in life. Meanwhile, Mr. Potter is one of the eldest people in town who owns various businesses in town. Some of his businesses include a departmental store, bus lines and at the same time he runs shacks where he rents them to people in town. Unlike Bailey who at most is famous and branded as a man of the people, the aim of his business is purely to help his people. Mr. Potter on the other hand is very cruel, greedy and self-fish. The cost of the loan is almost similar to what thy pay for rent. As per my perspective, the difference emerges where Bailey values his customers but Mr. Potter treats his customers in a weird way, he compares them to the feudal villeins. The strategy here is that in order to beat Mr. Potter, Bailey doesn’t have to appeal to the city, what he only has to do is to offer a better a better and an affordable service, through this, he will manage to beat him in a capitalistic way. Bailey employs a strategy of allowing his customers to buy modest homes at a fair price that how they would have built them. The essence of this is because Bailey knows that he cannot compete Mr. Potter if he demands the same amount of salary. The outcome becomes inevitable and obvious. The residents reject Mr. Potter’s rented homes and opt for Bailey’s residential homes. From there, the outcome is both obvious and inevitable.
