Intro Imagine you are stuck, stuck in one town, in one job, and in one place. George Bailey lived in this situation, trapped in his home town, feeling obligated to stay and help. He Loses his money in a crisis and does the heinous act of calling himself a failure. This is when the movie begins to kick into high gear and It’s a Wonderful Life Starts to display ,” One who finds themselves with friends cannot call that same self a failure.” This especially shows when Clarence the angel puts George Bailey in a world where he was never born , a world where he he never stopped his brother from drowning, never stopping Mr.Gower from accidentally swapping someone’s medicine for rat poison ,and never allowing people to build and keep their houses at …show more content…

People sometimes complete a task without a reward fixated on their mind and get one anyways. George Bailey is one of these people. When he runs home in joy, knowing that when he gets to his home he will have a warrant for his arrest, he instead runs past the Chief of police and straight into the arms of his children. He lovingly holds his children and hugs his wife, celebrating his wonderful family one last time, then it happens. Uncle Billy with the rest of the town on his heels, comes in with a huge basket of donated money, laughing and singing. They all pitched in to keep the building and loan afloat and to keep George out of jail due to the fact that he helped them. A reward for saving the vanity of the town, a prize for helping the town being able to survive Mr. Potter’s shady business. He almost monopolized the entire town by buying the bank and the buildings that supported and provided it, but George stood his ground and made Potter have to scuttle around his business, never being able to touch it. This is why these people helped him, because George stuck to his values and was no failure. Why? Because he made friends sticking to his values and not taking punishment just because Potter was dishing it out. This is what kept George out of jail and in his arms in his children’s and hair rather than having those same arms in
