Culture: Worlds and Societies You’re walking through the airport and realize there are people there from every culture. You take in the colors, shapes and start to question your own cultural background. Culture constantly informs the way someone views the world and others. In my opinion culture is an essential part that forms the characters we are. From personalities, practices and stories culture gets manifested in many ways.
People say that morals can only be established in the household and not taught. This is very true and applies to everyone. Morals and values are significant to culture. In the poem about My Mother Pieced Quilts the author Teresa Palomo Acosta delicately unfolds a story of her life. When he author's word choice is taken in consideration you realize the importance of her poem. In it she pieces together details like her mother's death and illnesses. Teresa also talks about how important the quilts are in winter. She refers to them as weapons, and speaks about the families warmth.
