How does Culture influence behavior?
INTRODUCTION
What is culture? Culture is the way of life, especially the general customs and beliefs, of a particular group of people at a particular time. Each country have their own culture and beliefs, for example Malaysian have the culture of informing one another before going to one another house and it’s a form of respect too. Next, American culture is that Americans always like to keep themselves busy, like they would take away their lunch and eat it while working and to the Americans 24hours is not enough.

There are only 5 stages to change our behavior. First is precontemplation, which is the stage when you never thought about changing your behavior. The second stage is contemplation, this stage is when you actually start thinking of changing your behavior, and this stage is the cause that made you move on to the next stage- determination. Determination is the stage when you start preparing yourself mentally and physically to change. Then, action is the next stage, when your start to take action in changing your behavior. For example, go to the gym or eat healthy. The last stage is maintenance. This stage is to keep you away from your old behavior and get you to maintain and control your new behavior. Overall, these stages prove that behavior can be changed. For example, when you’re in another country you experience new culture and you then have to follow their culture.
