There are many different facts in a child’s live, especially at a young age, that affects how the child will grow and what they will become. Factors that have a negative effect on child develop can be neglect. If a child is raised in a low-income house hold, the parents tend to have more than one job. When a parent has more than one job they tend to spend less time with the child. This includes reading, talking, and just engaging the child. This can cause the child’s development to be slower than those who have these things. If a parent has these situations they should try and get their child into a high-quality childcare. If the child is in a high-quality child care they tend to get the attention they need to counter act the lack the attention when at home. If the child is getting enough engagement in the childcare facility they tend to have a positive effect on their development then ones who are not. …show more content…

For a child to have a positive development, there are things that the parents can do to help the child to develop well and on time. As a parent, they should engage with the child. Having engagement teaches the child social skill. They should have engagements with people other than the parents. Weather that be on a play date, friends, or even family. All social activity improves the child’s development. Also as a parent they should have the child be read to.
