My persuasive speech was on the water crisis in Africa. The purpose was to increase awareness about the water crisis happening right now. I explained what is happening right now in Africa and how the crisis is very harmful to the community. I also elaborated on what we can do to raise awareness such as broadcasting a commercial nationwide and the positive outcomes that will happen if my plan were to be followed. I gave this speech on Friday, March 2, 2018. I was surprisingly less nervous then I expected, but I feel like that was due to me becoming more comfortable with the class and giving an impromptu introduction. In the future, I will practice more at home to make myself feel more steady and at ease about speaking in front of the class. My goals for the next speech would be to give more life in my voice to keep the audience interested and to control the speed at which I talk so the audience can fully comprehend what I am saying. I made many improvements in my persuasive speech compared to the heritage speech, but I want to make even more improvements for the informative
