In this essay “Do What You Love? #@&** That!” Jeff Haden (2012) expressed serious concern regarding the fact that some people who achieved huge success in some fields claim that people should do what they want to do. The author insists that people are willing to pay for what you do with your passion, it's worth it, if people don't do that, it is just a hobby. Moreover, passion takes a great deal of effort and time to create it. People easily believe what successful people say and they don't see how much effort that’s truly put into it. He defines that passion for today is spending a lot of time and effort and it should be socially valuable. Today, money is an important part of judging passion, so it could be a “Money is a neutral indicator of value” (p. 463). If people are willing to pay for what they do with passion, that can be a real passion. If they will not pay for that, the author point out that it is a “hobby” (p. 463), and it is definitely different from the passion in the career. Jeff also says that passion doesn't come out of itself; it takes a lot of effort and time. The more time you spend in one area and experience, the more you are satisfied with the work and will ultimately come to love it. He also points out that People don't think of how much talent today's successful people have in the areas of success. They are motivated by small success, and they develop it to explain that they were able to eventually succeed. He also claims that passion today is something that people think is really valuable and can pay for and people should try to find it, and spend a lot of time and effort towards
