As my ISP novel I have chosen to read the story “Of mice and men” by John Steinbeck. I am interested in this novel because it shows the reality of life during the Great Depression and the lessons gotten from the story are still relevant in today's society. The main theme of the novel is the impossibility of achieving the American dream. I will be analyzing the story though the Marxist point of view and proving how the author uses minor characters to reveal the main message to the reader The structure of the essay will be from general to specific and each body paragraph will be talking about a different minor character.
