Hochswender argument was entertaining, but he felt at persuading my discussion in his favor. The rhetorical comment that was made about driving a large four wheel drive vehicle does that make him bad (Muller & Harvey). Hochswender is promoting his self as a critic of gas guzzler vehicles but he drives one. I am not clear as to which side Hochswender really stand on with the issue. He had a logical thought out argument, but; fell to make his case in my point of view.
Hochswender made an incredibly compelling and persuasive argument in his essay, Did my Car Join Al Qaeda. Hochswender makes a great logos argument for this when he tells us about his circumstances in New York where he could get up to 70 inches of snow during the Winter. Many people need to find a vehicle that will fit there life style and that's just logical thinking. I live in Illinois, and in the winter we can get a lot of snow and the conditions can be pretty rough. It's circumstances like these where sometimes the vehicle you own can be a matter of life, death, or getting injured.
During the Vietnam War 58,220 U.S soldiers died. Many lost their life to a cause they did not support. Were these soldiers heroes? The true story “On The Rainy River” by Tim O’Brien describes his personal experience and his reaction to receiving a draft letter for the Vietnam War. Written twenty years after he was drafted, O’Brien recalls his early adulthood when he was sent a draft letter and had to choose if he would go off and fight in a War he did not believe in or run to Canada to avoid the draft.
The author Tex G. Hall is explaining Native American team sports mascots are racist. He is testifying for many other people as well. He makes a very sensible are you and uses the motion and great facts facts. The way his argument is structured is very engaging. He first off thanks many people for bringing this controversy to everyone 's attention.
In February of 2017 Kia Motors America released “Hero’s Journey”, a Super Bowl advertisement for their new eco-friendly hybrid, Niro. The commercial features Melissa McCarthy’s attempts to save the environment with humorous consequences. Through her failures, the audience learns that being an “eco-warrior” doesn’t have to be so challenging. The ad is emphasizing the need for conservation efforts but is also depicting solutions in a way that is fun and light-hearted. By using comedic satire, appeals to logos and pathos, and a consideration of problems and solutions, Kia Motors America convinces its audience that our need for instant gratification is easily achievable by purchasing their new eco-friendly Niro.
Often times today, people of other racial classes and ethnic groups are experiencing oppression as a marginalized group in society today. Racial biases and culture have become an important issue in mental health due to social constructs, racial stereotypes and racial ideology. As a result, they tend to have an impact human development, racial and cultural identity. Therefore, it has become necessary for counselors to indentify and become fully aware and competent in this area due to the changes our society has undergone in multiculturalism and globalization. Due to cultural diversity, identification of minority groups has led to major breakthrough in the field of multicultural counseling/ therapy (Sue &Sue,2014).
To begin with, he claims that fossil fuels constitute a majority of our food system, thus damaging both the economy and people’s health.
A vehicle made of shiny steel, rubber wheels, and a gas engine gives America its name and fame. The automobile symbolizes America’s legacy of freedom because it allows ease in job, home, and entertainment. To begin, the automobile broadens the options for the working class through a larger spectrum of places to settle and a larger salary for the average person. For the citizens of America owning a car means being able to arrive at work from wherever they may live, despite the circumstances. In “America’s Key to Freedom” Carol Domblewski states that” They had mobility any time they wanted, not just when a train schedule said they had it.”
Fraenkel’s argument have some sensible points especially where he point outs if we are able to put aside our perceptive aside, we will be able to actually engage in this type of culture debate. He calls it being fallibilitist, which is liable for err, he state that “if you are a fallibilist you can see why valuing the truth and valuing a culture of debate are related.” He wants to move away from that way so we can have time to examine our self and perspectives and implies that the debate offers that environment. Franekels is careful on the way to propose the way we should face our fallibities by stating we shouldn’t travel to Cairo like he did, but he does make a logical appeal by saying if we go through some sort of disturbing experience that
First of all, let’s talk about the environment. I’m sure you all know about greenhouse gases and global warming, so I won’t talk much about that, but you may not know that road vehicles produce 10% of all man-made greenhouse gas emissions. This does include vehicles other than cars like trucks, but Tesla just came out with an electric truck which is faster and can carry more weight than any petrol/diesel truck. Greenhouses gases carbon-dioxide and methane have hit their highest levels in the past 420,000 years, and the extent of arctic sea ice has declined about 10% in the last 30 years.

This is all because of global warming, and if we start switching to electric cars, we could make a big difference and maybe, just maybe the effects of global warming will decrease.
Soumya Saji Ms. Patiño English 2/16/18 Global warming as became a huge concern for today’s world. The rise of alternative fuel sources is to help this worldwide problem, as a result, electric cars have started to become a familiarity to everyday roads. Electric cars have many benefits and potentially does help with global warming, but it may not be as environmental-friendly as advertised.
A lot of people love to hear about energy efficient and environmentally friendly options out there. The electric vehicles today serve great benefits in keeping emissions down and using a more friendly alternative energy source. In my opinion they have made an impact on the environment, but a major benefit in using this alternative resource is less cost to fuel the vehicle. Gasoline is very expensive today, and using the energy that is used to power our home, is much less expensive and more available than gas. The environment, as claimed by environmentalists, suffers due to the emissions of automobiles today.
Climate Change is one of the most unsettling problems mankind faces today. It leaves an impact on every single living thing, on every continent, no matter the privilege. Long term investment must be used to change the world. People must do more than just change out their light bulbs for eco-friendly ones, or drive fuel efficient cars. A choice as simple as changing our diets could reduce a human’s carbon footprint by fifty percent.
Good Afternoon Everyone “The best solution to pollution is dilution”. According to the United States Environmental Protection Agency’s’ report of 2010 Transportation contributes 13% to the global greenhouse gas emissions. So, have you ever thought of diluting the emissions by switching to Hybrid Vehicles? You may be thinking that Hybrid Vehicles are modern inventions due to technological advancements but did you know that it existed prior to the invention of the conventional gasoline vehicles.
