The world of online is filtered with diversion in every browse; with the share this and view here, no wonder it is easy to lose focus while reading on the web. Nicolas Carr, an author who wrote “Is Google Making Us Stupid?” mentions "Our ability to interpret text, to make the rich mental connections that form when we read deeply and without distractions, remains largely disengaged" (Carr). Carr identifies internet disruptions can interrupt the ability to focus on evaluation. During my reading "25 Spectacular Movies You (Probably) Haven’t Seen"(Schirp) on highexistence.com, I noticed that my attention was fascinating by the topics on the page, ads on the sides, and comment sections.

“The idea that our minds should operate as high-speed data-processing machines is not only built into the workings of the Internet, it is the network’s reigning business model as well. The faster we surf across the Web—the more links we click and pages we view—the more opportunities Google and other companies gain to collect information about us and to feed us advertisements” (Carr). No wonder it is easy to wander off from the context material on the web. With each site engineer to profits of users, it’s their whole agenda to keep users on constant clicks. For me it has become less productive since I become off track by the publisher, ads with desirability, and comments that take me to another road on the web. To sum it up, reading articles on the web can bring more unnecessary situation than as if I were to read a newspaper or magazine because these outlets don’t have the commotion like the internet
