Just because we are the dominant specie on planet Earth, it does not mean it is fine for us to abuse the natural resources. Day by day we are hurting or “home” mother Earth. We have no right to do this to Earth, since Earth is supplying us with a fantastic habitat. To begin with, I am embarrassed to say, but us humans are very selfish. We turn on the lights or dry our hair and we do not bother to think about how much we are hurting Earth. By doing this simple everyday routine it is slowly killing the Earth and everything on it. Most people realize that we are doing this to the Earth, but not a lot of people seem to care. Why are we doing this for our children? The article addressed, “By using the supplies of fresh groundwater faster than they can be recharged, for example, we are depleting assets at the expense of our children” (Radford). The article was written in 2005, so imagine the statistics and how they have increased from then. Finally, it is not fair that we abuse humans resources, because in the end it is just hurting all living things on Earth. We all know that it obviously is hurting animals and plants, but in fact it is also hurting humans. As the article informed, “Deforestation and other changes could increase the risks of malaria and cholera, and open the way for new and so far unknown diseases to emerge” (Radford). Worst than hurting us, our use of natural resources is damaging plants and animals. Just because we are the domain specie of planet Earth gives us no excuse to do such a thing.
