“Running Away” by Midnight Hour illustrates Holden sudden decision to run away from home and never return. While walking up Fifth Avenue, Holden abruptly has the sudden urge to disappear and have no one know of his whereabouts. He has introduced this kind of mentality throughout the whole book, but there is only one quote where he officially tells himself he would run saying, “I decided I’d go away.
