Caylee Anthony was reported missing July 15th, 2008. She had been last seen June 16th, 2008. The mother of Caylee Anthony is Casey Anthony. The day Caylee Anthony went missing, Casey claims to have gotten off of work to go pick 2 year old Caylee Anthony up from her nanny’s house. But when she got there none was home.

In the Riley v. California, there are two cases. In the first case, the defendant is David Riley. Riley was stopped by police due to the traffic violation. Then, police also find that Riley’s license had been suspended. Police impounded his car and search in the car.
Jodi then follows Travis into the bathroom with his camera and continues to take photos while he is showering just moments before he is killed. Joi attacks Travis with a knife and stabs him twenty seven times in the back. When she was finished with Travis, Jodi returned home until she was arrested. Arias gave the police three different stories until she finally admitted to killing Travis but now claims that it was because he was abusing her, and had been abusive toward her for years. On July 13, 2008 the parents of Casey Anthony George and Cindy received a notice stating that their daughter's car was in a tow yard. When the went to go pick up the van they noticed casey's purse, and their granddaughter Caylee's toys and carseat still in the vicheal. George also noticed a strong smell coming from the trunk, which caused them to get concerned. They finally found Casey at her boyfriend's house and questioned the whereabouts of her daughter. Casey broke down and said that she left Caylee with her nanny Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzalez in Orlando and that Gonzalez had zidnapped her on June 16th.

Two mega cases would be the Jodi Arias Case and the Casey Anthony one. In the Jordi Arias case, Arias was convicted and sentenced to life in prison for the murder of her ex-boyfriend Travis Alexander. She killed him at his home by stabbing him 27 times, slicing his throat and shooting him in the head. She changed her story several times. She initially denied the killing but later admitted to it, claiming it was self-defense.
During the years of 1984 and 1985, a burglar turned rapist and killer hunted the streets of Los Angeles and San Francisco. He became the phantom who would drive through the streets in the still of night, looking for his next home invasion. This serial killer had terrorized the residents and would strike with no known pattern and with no mercy. He would become to be know as the Night Stalker. It’s been eight years since Malik received the guilty verdict and was sentenced to life without parole in the California state prison for the rape and murder of his ex-girlfriend Sara Bolson. He spent everyday crying not because he was guilty but because he was about to spend the rest of his life in prison for a crime he did not commit. New victims with the same M.O. as Sara’s killer have been found all over the city of Los Angeles, so the detectives thought that it was possible that the wrong guy was put away and that the killer is now resurfacing or they may have a copycat trying to be like Malik. However, the three bodies found in the past two weeks had the same bruises and strangulation marks around the neck as Sara did and there was evidence showing the same type of drug used to subdue the victim.

RIVERSIDE - Although the San Bernardino County District Attorney’s office found the officer-involved shooting of an Adelanto man justified in 2015, a jury awarded Kevion Young $110,000 plus undisclosed punitive damages on Thursday. The non-fatal officer-involved shooting occurred on January 29, 2014, when undercover deputies were looking for the murder suspect, Robert Pope. Pope was wanted for the murder of Ernie Sanders and the attempted murder of Summer Mattes that occurred the previous day.

They must evaluate many conflicting and confusing problems of a troubled relationship, and finally make a decision whether or not the evidence in this case reaches a verdict of guilty beyond reasonable doubt. Jodi Arias, charged with his murder, consistently lied throughout the ordeal, changing her story three different times and demonstrating a history of deceiving people on even the smallest of details (Archer, 2014).

Garrett presents 250 cases of innocent people who were convicted wrongfully because the prosecutors opposed testing the DNA of those convicted. Garrett provided simple statistics such as graphs, percentages, and charts to help the reader understand just how great of an impact this was.
In the case of Mary Barnett, I agree with the courts decision to find her guilty of second degree murder and manslaughter. This is largely based on my analysis of the witnesses presented during the trial and the demeanor and actions of the defendant. Having an associates degree in psychology helped me formulate decisions about the role of each character and what part they were to play during the course of the trial. I utilized the teaching from the text book as well as the concepts from my social psychology class which required me to people watch and analyze the surroundings, body language, and actions of others.
