Jodi Arias Unjust Murder

On June 9, 2008, thirty year old Travis Alexander was found murdered in his home in Mesa, Arizona. He had been stabbed twenty seven times, his throat slashed, and shot in the forehead by his ex girlfriend, Jodi Arias. On the day of the murder Arias claims she went to Travis’s house to see him and while taking pictures of him in the shower, she accidentally dropped his camera. From there Travis starts screaming at her and abusing her. Arias tells the court that she was only acting in self defence and that she was afraid for her life since she had been abused by this man for years. Jodi and Travis only had a relationship for around five months, but after the relationship was over they continued to have a sexual relationship. Travis began to see other women and Jodi was overtaken by jealous rage which resulted in his murder. Jodi is described in court as a jealous ex-girlfriend ready to get her revenge on Travis once and for all. She plans to meet up with Travis for another sexual encounter to put her plan into action. They take pictures during their time together, which is a normal routine for them. Jodi then follows Travis into the bathroom with his camera and continues to take photos while he is showering just moments before he is killed. Joi attacks Travis with a knife and stabs him twenty seven times in the back. When she was finished with Travis, Jodi returned home until she was arrested. Arias gave the police three different stories until she finally admitted to killing Travis but now claims that it was because he was abusing her, and had been abusive toward her for years.
